A gentle, well-timed nudge is normal and expected.

  1. Wait until close to (not right at) the deadline before the first follow-up, giving reasonable time.
  2. Keep the tone light and helpful: "Just a friendly reminder — happy to resend anything you need."
  3. Offer to make it easier: resend your resume, key points, or the submission link again.
  4. If the deadline is genuinely at risk, it's fair to ask directly whether they'll be able to complete it in time.
