A simple test: ask "so what?" after every feature statement.

  1. Feature: "10-hour battery life." Benefit: "Get through a full workday without hunting for an outlet."
  2. Feature: "Built-in analytics dashboard." Benefit: "See what's working without exporting data to a spreadsheet."
  3. If you can't answer "so what?" clearly, the feature probably isn't ready to be a headline in your copy.
  4. Lead with benefits, then support with features as proof — not the other way around.
